    October 13th is not an ordinary day. It is a day called National No Bra Day where the women dont wear their bras. It was invented by the women who promote breast cancer awareness and help in gathering money for research. Women without bras will surely bring the focus on the cause, but who would be aware that wearing bra may be dangerous for the breasts?1

    Bras should hold women in place and it is very useful for the women with large breasts. It is difficult to walk around when every motion you make is emphasized by your breasts corresponding movements.

    Anyway, the sport researcher Jean-Denis Rouillion who is a professor at the University of Franche-Comte in Besancon explains in his 15 year old study about the effect of bras on 330 women aging between 18-35 years that wearing bra from early age doesnt support the chest, decrease back pain or stop premature sagging. Medically, physiologically, anatomically, breasts have no benefit by being denied gravity. They even become saggier with a bra.

    According to the researchers, we lack a development of supporting breast tissue while we wear bras, and if we dont use them we will gain more tone to support our breasts. The participants who didnt wear bra through this research had a 7- millimeter lift in the nipples in comparison with the women who wore bra regularly. This means that we have control how our breasts will look in time. The bras also constrict the blood circulation and diminish the overall tone of the breasts.

    Younger women who dont wear bra will have raised collagen creation and elasticity, which will improve the lift in a developing breasts, states Dr. Stafford Broumand.

    Anyway, reducing the sag of the breasts is not the only reason why women wear bras. The bras are worn in order to hold the breasts from jumping around and distracting the people around us while moving. Still, it looks like it is our choice if we going to wear them or decide to throw them away.
